Lithuanian Association of Civil Engineers (LSIS) is the association of professionals of civil engineering and construction scientists working in all fields of construction. LSIS aims to mobilize its members, represent their interests, enhance the prestige of a civil engineer and scientist, and disseminate knowledge to the public about the construction sector.
The organization participates actively and competently in the legislative process in the field of construction.
The association unites 10 members who are committed to the organization’s vision and mission. LSIS members carry out professional certification and in-service training for civil engineers.
The congress for establishment of LSIS was held on September 29, 1989, and LSIS was officially registered in 1990. March 5, on the eve of the restoration of Lithuania’s independence.
Since 2001 LSIS is a member of the European Council of Civil Engineers (ECCE).
